  • That Amazing Place is set in the Essex countryside and this beautiful award winning venue is without doubt our favourite place to play.

    The venue is simply breath taking! The surrounding grounds are stunning and look superb whatever season your wedding may be. The location is excellent, the staff are outstanding and ensure every guest and supplier feels welcome.

    We are proud to be a recommended supplier at That Amazing Place and have worked alongside them since they first opened in 2015. With many weddings behind us at this lovely venue, we are excited to supply our services for any future events as part of the new look wedding packages.

    We can now supply 2 variations of our Silver Package, just tell us which style you would prefer for your special day.

    We have recently added a new white PA system to the Silver & Silver XL Packages. This will be available from 2021 for all weddings and events held at That Amazing Place.

    2024 is our 20th year as a full time DJ company and we pride ourselves on our musical versatility and our personal service. We are not a DJ agency so when you book Herts Events you will receive a complete and personal service from Andy or Mark. We are friendly, reliable, professional and will happily assist you throughout the entire booking process.

    We always offer each and every couple the chance to compile a playlist of their favourite songs, artists and genres. Adding any songs that they would not like played too (The last thing we want to do on your special day is play a song that you dislike!)

    Our extensive music collection covers the 1950's - 2020 and includes - Kisstory Anthems, R&B, House, UK Garage, Club Classics, Dancehall, 80s/90s/00s Party classics, Hip Hop, Reggae, Pop, Disco, Motown, Soul, Rock, Indie, Country, Rock n Roll and Swing 

    Upgrades & Extras (Wireless Uplighting & White Twinkle Backdrop)

     

    Our Silver or Silver XL package is the most suitable for this venue and looks fantastic set up in the Lakeside Lounge. The Love Heart Gobo's look beautiful spotting the floor or rotating around the room. You can choose from a number of different images and colours for your lighting, including roses and even snowflakes if you are having a winter themed wedding. If you prefer a more retro look we have recently added a new variation of the Silver package that comes with our brand new mirror ball effect lighting, you can choose traditional white or any other colour to match your theme.

    We offer half price upgrades on all our extras exclusively for this venue, the most popular addition is our wireless uplighting, this upgrade completely transforms the look of the room! We can set the lights to match your colour scheme and if you really want the room to sparkle, you can add a white twinkle backdrop to match the DJ booth (see images below)

  • Hi Andy, a week has gone by since our wedding on 20th July at That Amazing Place and I just wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for helping us create the most perfect day. Throughout all our wedding planning, and postponement - you have been a pleasure to work with, always positive, kind and so happy and chatty. Your passionate for your job, business, and the couples you work with shines through, and it makes such a difference to work with someone who’s character is such a big asset.
    You provided us with fantastic advice on music, set up, further decoration and lighting which I am so grateful for and so glad we took! The dance floor was full from the minute the music started playing, until the very end and many chants for “one last song”. Every single guest got up on their feet at one point or another and it everyone has commented on how fantastic your choices were – you picked exactly the right song at the right time.     Thank you for absolutely everything you did for us on our wedding day. All of the songs were perfect and got everybody up and dancing, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! I look back on the videos and you just made it so lively and we loved it so much.
    You made everything so seamless and perfect for the surprise gender reveal too and the fact you added ‘isn’t she lovely’ song straight after the balloon popped has made the most beautiful memory to look back on and I will always remember that song for our baby girl.
    You truly are such a lovely person too and we didn’t have to worry about a thing all evening so thank you so very much.

  • Superb, Entertaining and extremely Professional. We hired Andy from Herts events for our wedding at That Amazing Place! From the moment we met he was calm, composed and kept us at ease on music choice and style for the day. He made sure it was right and proper for us and during the course of night he kept checking with us to make sure we were happy and communicated extremely well with our guests. People were always dancing and that credit has to go to Andy. Sidenote, Andy's wife gave birth 24 hours prior to the wedding and he still DJ'd our event, a true professional putting others first…Albeit we told him he shouldn't of for obvious reasons.
    Can't recommend him highly enough, friendly, approachable, professional and tailors to your needs. Thanks Andy - we and everyone loved it.

  • Well what can I say! We got married and had Andy as DJ 27th October and I still remember how good it was. We had a great pre-chat with Andy and he said to give him a list of all the songs we like and request and special songs for people etc. We gave him such an array of songs from kids songs to garage and heavy rocking. The legend manage to piece between all our songs a playlist that fit all genres and we were constantly told the music at our wedding was so good and kept people on the dance floor all night. Andy was a great guy as well and extremely friendly and easy to converse with. Since our wedding we have referred him for several events and it was the same superior quality at all of them! He is certainly our 'Go To' DJ for life! Highly Recommend! Sorry for the late review Andy, better late than never and its a compliment I remember the wedding music so well - thank you for our playlist!
