    The Riding’s Barn is the estate’s charming, exclusive reception room. With its stylish interior and Mediterranean-style courtyard, it’s the perfect space for enjoying drinks, celebrating with loved ones, and — of course — dancing the night away.

    🎶 Why We Love DJing at The Riding’s Barn

    We’ve had the pleasure of providing entertainment for many weddings at Theobalds Estate over the years, and the Riding’s Barn continues to be one of our favourite spaces to work in.

    Here’s why:

    • ✅ It’s a modern, well-proportioned room that allows us to use a full DJ rig while keeping everything tidy and elegant

    • ✅ The acoustics are excellent, so the music sounds great whether we’re playing background tunes or peak party anthems

    • ✅ The dance floor is perfectly positioned — right next to the bar! This keeps guests engaged, since they never have to go far to refresh their drink before jumping back into the action

    💬 Our Honest Take as DJs

    No venue is perfect — and the only real downside here is that the parking is a fair distance from the barn, meaning we have to wheel equipment through the courtyard.

    But we’ve got it covered. Our large trolley system means we can set up in just two trips.

    Even better: the venue allows for early setup access, which is a huge plus for us and for couples. We often arrive in the morning, set everything up discreetly, and return later ready to start the party.

    And as always, the staff are friendly, helpful, and easy to work with — making every event here a smooth, enjoyable experience.

  • We could not fault the service provided for us by Herts Events and our dj Andy. We provided Andy with a list of songs before the night, which was adhered to, but Andy soon picked up on the theme of the evening and was able to keep people on the dance floor all night, with a mixture of classic hits and all time favourites, with a few modern requests thrown into the mix.
    The set was perfect for us, as was the lightening and sound and just as we imagined. In addition to this, when the timings of our day changed slightly and we asked if Andy could come half an hour earlier, he very kindly offered to do so at no extra cost.
    We would strongly recommend using Andy (and Herts Events)
    He helped make our wedding day the amazing day that it was and we plan to use him again in the future.
