We initially met at an open day for the venue and our first impression was that Andy was extremely fun and passionate about his job! The music was so important to Wes and myself, we needed someone who could play to the crowd and combine all our favourite genres and tunes seamlessly and you absolutely delivered and more. Throughout all our wedding planning, and postponement - you have been a pleasure to work with, always positive, kind and so happy and chatty. Your passionate for your job, business, and the couples you work with shines through, and it makes such a difference to work with someone who’s character is such a big asset.
    You provided us with fantastic advice on music, set up, further decoration and lighting which I am so grateful for and so glad we took! The dance floor was full from the minute the music started playing, until the very end and many chants for “one last song”. Every single guest got up on their feet at one point or another and it everyone has commented on how fantastic your choices were – you picked exactly the right song at the right time. I would recommend Andy to all couples needing a DJ for their wedding or special event in the future – you won’t be disappointed.   • We'd seen Andy at Herts Events DJ at various other weddings and events and knew that we could trust him to deliver excellent service from start to finish, due to his ability to read a crowd, seemless mixing, extensive music choice and the fun we'd had dancing at the events. He met with us before the wedding and tailored a playlist to incorporate our favourite songs and music genres and offered knowledgeable advice on playlist order, popular songs, etc. The dance floor was kept full all night :) He communicated with us to ensure we were happy and recommended a tweak to the playlist when the dance floor was particularly packed and jubilant, to keep the atmosphere at that level, which worked perfectly! We'd have no hesitation in recommending Herts Events.

  • Andy DJ'd at our wedding on 8th April 2017 and did a great job. Our taste is a mixture between indie and pop/cheese, so it was a challenge to get the balance right, but with Andy's help, we managed it. It's safe to say the music was a hit, judging by how busy the dancefloor was all night. There's nothing worse than an empty dancefloor at a wedding (that was my biggest fear!), so my husband and I are both delighted that we didn't have to encounter that scenario!

    Our playlist, Andy's arrangement of it, the extra songs that he threw in by reading the mood of the room and the fact that we have a lot of friends and family who love to dance, made for a winning combination! I never imagined there'd still be so many people up dancing at the end of the night. Andy also provided pink/purple uplighting for the room, which looked fantastic. That was definitely worth the extra money.

    Andy was also happy to help out during the speeches, when the best man wanted a clip of music to be played at a certain point to accompany one of his anecdotes.

    We would certainly recommend Andy to anyone in the area looking for a top-class DJ.

Booked Andy for our wedding as we were looking for something a bit different from the usual wedding playlist and wanted something a bit more soulful and Old Skool with a little bit of Irish for our guests. What a mix! From our very first chat - he just got it and I knew we were in safe hands. Everybody loved the music and the dancefloor was full all night.   • Mark agreed to be our wedding DJ at very short notice. However, he took the time to meet us a week before the wedding to discuss our musical preferences and arrangements. He paid attention to not just the music we want, but the music we didn't want.

    On the day, he was professional, got set up with minimum fuss and then not only provided wonderful DJ'ing services, but he also was a great compere and MC asking guests to move to appropriate positions and generally keep the show running.

    All-in-all, would recommend for any party and any event. Professional, reliable, awesome

  • We hired Andy for our Wedding Reception. His service was recommended by a friend and they weren't wrong in doing so. We were very impressed. Not only is he a really nice guy, he was truly professional. Due to work commitments etc, I gave him a long list of songs very last minute which were mainly garage and a Kisstory set. This didn't bother him and he played every song as well as going with the flow of the night, to which all my guests danced from start to finish.   • Andy from Herts Events was our dj at our wedding on 27th November this year and what a fantastic service he provided. From the time we first met Andy, we knew we wanted him to take care of our wedding reception. He took the time to meet with us and go through the various packages and lighting we could have. He kept in touch regularly and made us feel totally confident in our choice.
    Our reception was perfect, Andy's set up looked fantastic and the music was perfect, our guests were up dancing all night and have all commented on how great he was and how fantastic the music was. Nobody wanted the night to end.

  • Herts Events: My 40th Birthday Party:
    I am not really one to write reviews, however on this occasion I have made an exception. On Sunday with the help of Andy from Herts Events, had what has to be described as the best party of my life. The music effortlessly fit in with all the mayhem that was going on with our Oscar Themed party. The compare, and Andy (Herts) bounced off each other as if they had known each other for years, likewise did all the acts that performed. The entire party was just outstanding, with all guests approaching me throughout the night to express that it was the best party they have ever been too. In my opinion, this is not just down to luck, its down to having the drive, personality and being able to adapt quickly. The guests were kept interested, and happy throughout, and I sincerely believe that 'Herts' made this happen. They went above, and beyond their call of duty to ensure I had the Party of my life. In fact, I am thinking of reserving these guys in advance for my 50th!!!

  • My husband and I booked Herts Events for our wedding on 14th August 2015 as I had been to events that Andy had DJ-ed at in the past and had always had a great time.

    Andy was brilliant and kept in touch before the wedding, discussing with us what we wanted from the night and being open to all of our ideas. Our guests had RSVP'd with song requests and Andy incorporated these into the evening, as well as requests as the night went along. Andy even colour coordinated his lighting to match our colour scheme!

    Andy adapted the music during the night to make sure that all of the guests were included (family friendly classics for the oldies early on, moving on to garage music and party tunes for the 'young' among us later on).

    I've had loads of compliments on the music and would recommend Andy (and Herts Events) to others. The only bad point I can think of is that I was having such a good time on the dancefloor that I completely missed the evening buffet!! :).

Everyone has commented on what a good night it was, and what a good selection of music we had. Mark also did a fantastic job of keeping things running as smoothly as possible for our evening reception, especially as due to previous issues, we had to change our reception venue the day before the wedding! Wouldn't hesitate to use again, or recommend to friends and family.
